[New York, NY May 19, 2009] The rebel art of tattoo is getting a revamped image . It's stepping into the high end world of couture as famed tattooist and artist, Friday Jones introduces the first-ever "couture tattoo" studio to NYC. Friday Jones Tattoo Couture at Senses NY Salon will officially break skin when it opens June 16, 2009. Tattoo Couture will bring clients the ultimate tattoo experience that combines the luxury and personal care of "couture" with the artistry and design that comes with getting inked by a specialized tattoo artist. "Tattoo Couture" as realized by Friday Jones, focuses on providing a three-tiered experience that brings together fine art, excellent craftsmanship, and a serene spa environment. Starting with a one-on-one consultation, by appointment or referral, clients begin to have their personality and vision translated into a cohesive visual context. A follow-up design review is next, where the artist fine-tunes the art with additional detailing from the client if need arises. Finally, clients can relax with a massage, manicure/pedicure or any of the salon's services, before having the artist translate the art onto skin. "I love the peace and philosophical approach we can enjoy in the privacy of the couture tattoo studio... that's the real motivation behind the concept," says Jones.
